Random Seed Games is an independent game developer working on unique experiences for tabletops, computers, and mobile devices.
History
Tyler Owen founded Random Seed Games in 2010 as a creative outlet for his own game concepts. He began working in Flash and iOS and eventually transitioned to Unity development. Since then he has learned a great deal and worked with many wonderful collaborators.
The largest project for the team was a Mars exploration and survival game called Lacuna Passage that was funded by a successful Kickstarter. The project grew after launching on Steam Early Access and was eventually handed off to a different developer. Some materials on this site still reference the work that Random Seed Games did on the title.
After refocusing the company on smaller-scale projects, Random Seed Games has begun development on new projects like the upcoming rhythm-puzzle game, LIMYN, and a card-battling tabletop game, Sylvan Tactics.
Most recently the company helped produce a mobile hiking adventure game called Pisgah Puzzle Trail.
